We reeeeeaaallly need more space
Help Thistle Move!
If you have shopped our store in person you know this to be true: WE NEED MORE SPACE.
We operate out of just 1,400 square feet TOTAL (pretty amazing, right?), and we've grown from a team of 2, to a team of 9. With y'all's help, we've diverted OVER 50,000 pounds of usable materials from the waste stream.
The world is full of creative treasures and people who no longer need them. We are bursting at the seams.
We opened our shop in early 2021 knowing full well that it couldn't contain us forever. The time has come for us to find a new home - the lease in our current space is up this summer. That's where YOU come in.
Creative reuse profit margins are slim (psssssttt: we aren't in it for the money), so we are offering some fun rewards to anyone who wants to pitch in and help Thistle GROW GROW GROW. All sales from these rewards will help us finance our move into a bigger (and better!) building.
We want to raise as much as we can before borrowing because those interest rates are icky. Moving is expensive.
In our new space we plan to:
- Triple (maybe quadruple) our shoppable retail space
- Bring our e-commerce warehouse back into the same location as the shop
- Increase the number of daily donation appointments we can take (and the amount of items we can accept)
- Have plenty of room for processing material donations to get them to the sales floor super quick
We don't have a lease signed just yet ( although there are two very viable options we're working on), but we will let y'all know the second the ink dries on the paperwork.
We love this community and we are committed to its betterment through reuse and affordable creative expression.
We need to raise at least $10,000 to help with the deposit for our new space.
If you're into what we do, if you want to see Thistle grow and expand to serve even more folks in our community consider rounding up in store, buying one of these Move Fund Rewards, or even just choosing to shop secondhand with us first.
We are small, woman-owned/operated, we create green collar jobs right here in Denton, and we value this beautiful, quirky blue marble we all live on.
