An antique European wallpaper printing roller, cylindrical form with a large floral pattern in relief.
Large stunning wallpaper roller which was used to print repeating wallpaper patterns on paper. This roller is a total beauty and is definitely one of a kind. This piece is hand carved with solid wood and has a hollow core.
Could be repurposed into a lamp.
There are some cracks, as shown in photos, but otherwise it is in good vintage condition.
This item has a great historical importance in the printing industry- back in the day the artisans created beautiful patterns by tapping small metal pieces. They created both simple and complex patterns which included flowers, abstract and striped patterns.
